We’ve got a few more songs from the Confetti sessions that will be coming out later this summer. Originally these were part of an ambitious (too long) track list that was eventually pared down in the late stages of wrapping it up. We didn’t want to just toss them, so they will be a part of b-sides EP entitled Confetti Reprise. August 16.
1. Pot Luck
2. Confetti Reprise
3. Exit Wounds
4. The Pit

It has been quite a long time leading up to today, but Confetti is finally out in the world for everyone to hear. We are extremely proud of it and we are eternally thankful for all of the people and their support and favors and patience who have helped us along the way. While today feels, in a way, like the end of a long marathon, it also feels like just the first step of many more to come. Thank you and enjoy.
Find Confetti here:
iTunes (Digital), Amazon (Digital, CD), Insound (CD), Lujo Records (Vinyl LP)

The following is the abridged version of what happened with us this past month.
We left on the last day of February and took a few days to drive to the west coast. Once in Portland, we met up with Cold War Kids and for the next two weeks we were literally living in a dream world. They guys in the band and in their crew were all awesome dudes. The shows were consistently bigger and better than we could have ever imagined. We drove a ton, played in front of a ton of people, had a ton of fun and in the blink of an eye it was over and it was time to head south to Texas.
It was a bummer leaving the Cold War Kids tour, but SXSW was also a tremendous success. We played three shows and they were all better than we could have hoped for. After a few days in the hot weather and traffic jams it was finally time to head home.
Now we’re back. And for the near future…
We’ll be in Chicago doing some things in April as well as heading down to Kansas City to play at Middle of the Map Fest on April 8 (opening for The Appleseed Cast and The Casket Lottery).
Also, a couple of really big dates are coming up fast. The official release of our debut full-length record, Confetti, is finally upon us and it drops on April 12. On April 22 we will be playing a record release show at Schubas. The tickets are on sale now and are available here. We are headlining and would love to make it a memorable night, so if you are going come to one of our shows any time soon, make it this one and let’s have some fun.
We are thankful for all of the support and we’re looking forward to some really cool stuff to come.

On Friday we dug ourselves out of the snow drifts in Chicago to get over to Rock Island, IL and the Daytrotter studio (The Horse Shack (we still aren’t sure what makes an old radio station space on the third floor of a building in downtown Rock Island a Horse Shack, but it is what it is)). The session went great, the people were great and being near the Mississippi River is always great too. We played four songs from the fast approaching Confetti and had a blast doing it. Look for the session to hit their site in April. We’ll let you know more when it gets closer. Above are a couple of pictures from the session.

T-shirts are on the way. The design is the product of a collaboration between our good friend Colin Strandberg and Nigel. We love it, and we hope you all will too. We should have them ready to go in March and beyond.
